In an effort effort to keep our players sharp and support our community, the Milan Youth Soccer Club and Southeast Michigan Storm will be posting weekly challenges on our Facebook pages. We are asking players to perform the challenge and post it using #MilanKicksCOVID.
People can can also make a donation to Aid in Milan if they would like. 100% of donations will be given to Aid In Milan to help local families during these tough times. You can follow this link to make a donation:
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic, the Milan Youth Soccer Club (MYSC) decided it is in the best interest of our players and their families to cancel the Spring Developmental and Futures seasons. If you have not received your Registration Fee survey by email, please check your spam filter or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We realize we have a lot of upset players who are ready to play. We want to play soccer too when it’s safe to do so. If the circumstances allow for that to happen in the near future, we will communicate our programming which will likely extend into the summer vacation months. There is a question in the survey to indicate your interest in safe summer programming. We understand this is a difficult time for many and it is always our goal to provide a safe and healthy outlet for our players. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you at the fields in the near future. In the meantime, stay home, stay safe, and stay healthy.
The Developmental Program is a recreational league with a focus on skill development for ages U5 to U13. Practices are held at the Vern R. Campbell Soccer Complex two evenings per week, with days varying, depending on coach and field availability. Games are on Saturday mornings at the Vern R. Campbell Soccer Complex. Developmental technical training kick-off is Saturday, April 4th and games are April 11th through June 5th. We attempt to honor all special requests so please make sure to note any necessary concerns in the Special Request area of the registration. All participants are required to participate in fundraising which is selling cash prize raffle tickets. You can opt out of this requirement by paying an additional $40. No refunds will be granted after payment is processed. See you at the fields!
Futures is for 2 to 4 year old players on Saturday mornings only from 9:00 – 9:45 AM or from 10:00 – 10:45 AM (there are no weekday practices) at the Vern R. Campbell Soccer Complex. The first session of Futures is April 11th. We play in all weather, except storms with thunder or lightning. These sessions require parent participation with your child. A responsible adult must accompany the player at all times – families with multiple players should make arrangements to meet this requirement. We will give group instruction, and then assist you and your child. In general, there is about 10 minutes of warm up, 25 minutes of skill development with a parent and the final 10 minutes is set aside for goal scoring.
